Your programming used to be so different and now you have dropped into the gutter with so many of the other channels and networks and have given yourselves over to mindless mind-numbing "reality" shows. I am so sorry for you and am honestly disheartened by you selling out. There are many alternative routes you could have taken but chose to ignore. Theres documentaries, exposes' and even classic movies. But instead you sell yourselves (and by proxy, your viewers) out for some false "reality" shows and garbage programming. What happened? Are the Nielson ratings that bad? It's truly sad for me to write this because at one time you were one of the last bastions of intelligent programming on television. And now American Hoggers....... It gives a view into a way of life that is different than is seen in most urban or northern rural areas. The Campbells appear to be a hard working, salt of the earth family. There are already other channels that show documentaries, exposes' and classic movies. It is a nice getaway to watch the Campbells and their exploits compared to the trash that most stations are airing. I could care less about most reality shows because the only reality they portray is insanity. I watch television less than three hours a week but when American Hoggers is on they get a slot of my time. Documentaries used to be fine but appear to have succumbed to liberal politics in most but not all cases. I can't afford to watch a 1 hour documentary and spend another four hours doing research to fact check what is supposed to be fact. I hope A&E returns American Hoggers for more seasons, it's a great show that doesn't try to be something that it isn't.
