The garlic based spray is Liquid Fence Snake Repellant.  You can purchase it online,  from their website.  Another option is Snake Out,  which uses clove, cinnamon & cedar oils.  Snake Out has a much more pleasant smell to humans.  Most snake repellants contain naphthalene,  which is where that "moth ball smell" comes from. Moth balls can also be used as a deterrant, as they  also contain naphthalene.  However,  naphthalene is listed as a "possible carcinogen" by the IARC,  and when there are alternatives,  it may be good to err on the side of caution.
