  • Fix This Yard - Talk about it here!

Hosts Amy Devers and Alan Luxmore bring curb appeal to that eyesore at the end of the block in "Fix This Yard."

Each week they meet a homeowner's frustrated friends, relatives or neighbors and get a revealing look at the horror next door. With just one weekend to complete each make-over, Amy and Alan dig in, tackling everything from the cracked driveway to the collapsed fence, the porch with peeling paint and the overgrown path to the front door. Despite being challenged by extreme vegetation, inclement weather, and often reluctant property owners, Amy and Alan teach homeowners practical and easy ways to update and maintain their yards. At the end of each half hour they reveal a yard that's the envy of the neighborhood.

Catch the premiere of the new original series "Fix This Yard," on April 3rd at 10:00 and 10:30am ET/PT.

  • Fix This Yard-Michael and Christie episode

The Mike and Christie episode on 5/12/12 was the first time I had ever watched this show. I never realized how landscaping could make such a difference in the value of a home. The increase in value of Mike and Christie's house from $117,000.00 to $132,000.00 was amazing. I didn't think the pink and purple color scheme would work for the house, but it actually looked good. I've wanted to make some improvements to my yard and this show has given me some good ideas.

  • NEXT EPISODE Jeff & Jill Saturday, May 19, 10:30 a.m./9:30C

    Jeff & Jill

    Episode: 23

    Premiere Date: May 19 2012

Jill lives with her husband, Jeff, in her childhood home. Her mother's idea of yard care was to spread sand on the lawn every year which leaves nothing but a lumpy mess. As if this wasn't enough, they also have an unwanted new resident who makes his presence felt (or smelt?) every evening. The smell is so bad that the neighbors can't even sleep, so they turn to Fix This Yard for help. But even if Alan and Amy can evict the smelly visitor, they might not be able to deal with Jeff and Jill's constant additions to the project and climbing budget. This just may make Alan quit for good!

  • Amy's remark when she lost her train of thought.

I was really bothered by Amy's remark about having a siezure because she lost her train of thought. If any one knows what it is like to grow up having seizures and I mean more than 100 a day and then to have a daughter who has three different types this remark was totally uncalled for. In my opinion Amy needs to learn about how seizures actually effect the way people live and learn. She thought of it as a wise crack as she started to laugh after, when she could have made a simple comment such as no, I actually had a " brain fart ".

Why don't you write to her at A and E or contact someone here on the A & E board.Sounds like her ego is getting big.

Sometimes losing your train if thought tho can be very SCAREY for some people if it goes on too long, maybe she had one experiences like that? Imagine forgetting where you are your car or te colored your car? You'd have to play a color coding neumonics game with yourself.... And those games get very complicated...

  • New Episodes of Fix This Yard Begin Saturday, April 27 9:30a/8:30C - Check out the Before Photos!

    Fix This Yard

In just about any neighborhood in America, you see it – that one run down house that’s totally overgrown and neglected with junk strewn everywhere.

The neighbors’ patience is long gone and the house is officially the eyesore of the neighborhood, and even worse, it’s bringing down the neighborhood property values! There’s nothing left to do but turn in the offenders to the FIX THIS YARD™ Team. Enter hosts Amy Devers and Alan Luxmore. Together, this talented duo will completely renovate the yards and exteriors of needy homes and bring curb appeal to houses that are for sale.

Each week Amy and Alan help frustrated realtors by surprising their clients with a revealing look at their horrible front yards. With just one weekend to complete each make-over, the two dig in, tackling everything from the cracked driveway to the collapsed fence, the porch with peeling paint, and the overgrown path to the front door. Despite being challenged by extreme vegetation, inclement weather, and often reluctant property owners, Amy and Alan teach homeowners practical and easy ways to update their yards. At the end of each episode, they reveal a yard that's the envy of the neighborhood, and host an open house to get the house off the market for good!

  • Darleen & Deborah: Don't Call Me Realtor Saturday, April 27 9:30a/8:30C

Darleen & Deborah: Don't Call Me Realtor

    Episode: 29

    Premiere Date: April 27 2013

Deborah's house has been sitting on the market for almost a year and that hasn't gone over too well with her realtor... who also happens to be her daughter, Darleen! They both know that this pink house won't sell because the entire front is obstructed by a giant tree... and the rest of the yard is a mess of weeds and potted plants. When Darleen contacts Amy and Alan, they come in to remake the yard in a weekend, fight the elements, and the local wildlife. Will all their hard work get this video-gaming grand mom's house sold?
