  • Drill Team - Talk about it here!

Fixing and renovating a space can be a huge undertaking for the average homeowner, whether it’s rebuilding after a tragedy or tackling a renovation that has gotten out of hand. Throw in a looming deadline and you’ve got yourself a recipe for disaster.

When the clock is ticking and the deadline is real, it’s time to call in the DRILL TEAM. As the dust flies our team – carpenters Jeff Devlin and Brandon Russell and designer Lauren Makk – work their magic to turn disaster into design.

The pressure is on as they tackle everything from demo and construction to painting and decorating, battling against the clock before guests arrive for the big event. With hard work, smart design and a little luck, the Drill Team will transform unbearable situations into unbelievable realities.

  • I liked the change, not Lilliana, but the general attitude adjustment of the show.

I've posted previously that I didn't enjoy this show. I liked the Richie & Nicole episode. I don't think Lauren was the real problem, though. It was the general disrespect & poor communication that they had as a team & that they had with each other.
If you watch design shows then you know the designer vs. contractor dilemma with regards to unrealistic expectations & timelines. The problem with Drill Team was the terrible way everyone was acting about it.I don't think Lilliana was the reason I liked this episode - it's obvious the guys have toned it down a great deal and are much more positive, too.I'll definitely tune in for another episode to see if the attitude change is permanent. I'd also be interested to see Lauren back but toned down, too. Thanks for paying attention!J

I personally like Lilliana better then Lauren. She seems to fit better with the team and be willing to work with them and not against them which is what I feel Lauren does. While Lauren is a good designer it seems she is more about the design then the time frame and less willing to work with the people who are acutally doing the work. She doesn't help out the carpenters, but sure does create problems when they are waiting for her special orders or projects (I know this creates drama) but it seems she doesn't realize the time and leaves the work to everyone else. I can't stand how her boobs are always out, I have a large chest too but I manage to find clothes to cover them up. I am team Lilliana!

  • The Drill Team

I love Drill Team. Although differences arise between the contractors and designers, its expected and it's reality. The designer has the vision and the contractors/carpenters are able to pull it off. The design often puts pressure on the guys but in my opinion that's why the show is so appealing. It lets you see what a creative and skilled team can do in a short period of time. The guys never really doubt their ability to pull off the design. They always appear to flex their pects just a little bit when the design is done. What's great is that the conflict is never with the home owners. Both the guys and the designers work their butts off to create and bring to fruition a design that is far greater than homeowners imagined.
I like both designers and am a little partial to Lauren. I miss the show. That's why I am on this website. I want to know when I can expect it to return.
