  • HEY PRODUCERS!!

    1) Get RID of Nabila! Not only is she not fit for tv, you ALREADY have one angst-ridden character in Dave Hester. Two people with over-inflated egos is a crowd and brings down the quality of your show.2) try to coach Dave Hester into MORE REALISTIC PRICING for his goods. Every time there's a cut-scene where he goes to value his goods... ALL OF YOUR VIEWING AUDIENCE rolls their eyes and says "sure Dave, your pile of crap isn't worth HALF of what you're saying it is". We are NOT morons, and letting him "cheat" in his valuation degrades your show.Listen to your viewing audience for a change. This has been repeated everywhere.

  • Nabila over prices too

Totally agree! Nablia is a complete drag on the show. I don't mind Hester - every show needs an antagonist and someone that people fume over - that's just good TV and makes folks watch. But Nablia talks smack that is so hollow and just makes me roll my eyes. She's not interesting enough to CARE about what she has to say.

  • Is Nabila REALLY a buyer, or an actress on a budget?

Ep. 29... Worried about a Gucci Bag, did you not know what a coach bag can be worth? Still plenty of people buying those, but whats so funny you thought COACH was a knock off of GUCCI! Girl, get a REAL job, you don't have a CLUE on this. ALL of you over estimate prices btw, how can WE the audience say dang they made bank when we are just going by what the buyer of each unit is CLAIMING what the junk is worth. I want to see some proof they actually sold ANY of the things they appraise actually sell for what they claim. GO BARRY!!!!! Anybody with a net worth of 7 Mil., obviously could school those other idiots. Will you leave me in your will? I just want one of the cool ass cars!!

  • hey producers!!!!!!

I want to second what Sweetride said above about Dave Hester. The price’s he gives on some of the thing is laughable.  Example.  The episode in which he bought the locker full of book was a joke.  Just because a book as its original price tag of 14.00 does not mean that is what it will sell for in a second hand shop, especially if the subject is on gardening in South America.  He listed the lock in the 20 to 30 thousand dollars when it was probably close 2000.00.  Another example was on last night show (aired 1/17/2012). He got a locker that had a washer and dryer.  They said they were worth 500.00.  I got on line and went to home depot and found several new ones listed for between 215.00 and 325.00.  So why someone would buy a used washer and dryer for that much when they can get a new one cheaper.  Only in DAVE’S world.   The thing that make it so unbelievable is you as a show do a “who was the big winner” at the end of the show and use the figures Dave gives.  Shame on you.  It makes the show hard to watch.  There are other shows that give a better value of things found, so I guess I’ll start watching instead.  It’s too bad.

The amount of money they all say when adding up their units is phony. Darrel is just as bad as Dave when it comes to stating the cost of the goods they are getting. And Jarrod is getting to be just like Darrel and Dave. So it is laughable when they say how much money they made, as it is just like Jerryc says, about a 100% markup on the goods. So I just take what they say and cut it in half, sometimes even more, as both Dave and Darrel are way off on their pricing. Jarrod is not as bad, but as time has gone by, he has gotten more like them. Brandi is the one realist in the group. As for Barry, well there are no words. He is an eccentric and sometimes does not even know what he is throwing away. If I was Brandy and Jarrod, I would just hang out and after he leaves with his one worthless item, get the rest from him and sell it at their store. It would be all profit. LOL

In fact I do just what you suggested when I lose an auction to a "Newbie". Over the past year or so the crowds at the storage auctions have gotten bigger and the prices higher. No doubt owing to the success of the show. There are lots of "Newbies" who believe they can get rich just like the characters on Storage Wars. I let them out bid me.....they always overpay. I usually stop by later while they are trying to load their unit into a Honda Civic and offer to buy the large appliances for next to nothing. They are overwhelmed by all the items they will have to move in 24 hours and some have even offered me the appliances for free. I have a heart tho so I always pay them something to lessen their loss. I recently got a Snack Vending Machine (weighed about 400 lbs.) in exchange for dumping some broken furniture for a "Newbie". It's all good.

  • They all overprice....

What's funny is Darrell puts the stuff from his storage auctions on his website.  Take one of those items and do a google search.  You'll find the same things about 3/4 the price on ebay and else where. Then he claims the disney stuff is from the 40s when in reality they are from the 60s.  All of his stuff is way over priced.  As for Nabila.  I love her.  It's about time A&E got a real woman to compete with the men.  Tired of this always being a MAN'S game.  On yea, they do have Brandi but it's usually Jerrod that's bidding.  Love seeing a woman give the men a run for their money.  KEEP NABILA and show her on more shows.  That is if A&E isn't afraid to diversify a little.
