Why did they change the lead female con on the team

What happened to the woman in the Pilot? Did she get a better offer for another show? I thought she was hot! The new gal in the show is good too..but I am wondering about the switch.

Either the powers that be decided Philli wasn't "hot" enough or it took too long between

filming the pilot and going into production on the series and the actress got another pilot picked up!

I don't think Philly was ever meant to be in more than the pilot. Swan's character was the one you saw in all the previews and promotions. I think Philly was just to scare the rest of the cons about the importance of not f***ing up their chances by trying to escape. Kind of how threating your kids with a spanking scares them for a couple of hours but actually spanking them scares them for a couple days. She was just a hot blonde plot vehicle.

Not Hot Enough???!!!

The powers that be have their collective "Heads up their ASSES" the actress in the pilot was far more provocative then her "replacement"She was easier to buy into this chick SWAN is just plain wrong ,her voice is annoying as well stupid bit of casting,they could have SHOULD have done better

The relentless bad attitude of the new lead female character causes me to change the channel

I really like the plot of the show. But the new female lead is so non-stop negative that I just tune into something else.
I could probably tolerate it better if she was hotter. The first episode of the show was great! I've changed channels during the last two shows. The new girl is just kills the show for me.

I agree with Dinjin, I really enjoyed the actress (Nicole Steinwedell) as the 'Philly' character; she and the others meshed together very well - she added an "edge" to the interactions. What lame executive let her go for the "Swan" actress? Ughhhh - Swan is very annoying - couldn't finish watching tonight's new episode of Breakout Kings and most likely won't be coming back.

Dinjin, you could tolerate it more if she was hotter? Maybe she needs that method acting or maybe her producer has to have it written in or something...or maybe give her the impetus all together. Is this a discipline thing? I don't really understand what you're saying drgnfly about adding an "edge" to interactions..isn't that sort of lopsided? That one person adds the edge? Just wondering...you mean a tension?

They lost their bounty hunter in the pilot...

And a bounty hunter is going to be a lot more useful than a con artist. Most of the prisoners have some skill at conning others anyway, so a con artist isn't a great loss in a hunting job.

Actress (Nicole Steinwedell) as the 'Philly' character. was great, the main reason I started watching the show. She had the best facial expressions, She was funny and clever and I think was what would of put this show over the top. Will she ever get to return? The other actors are cool but I LOVE Jimmi Simpson (Lloyd), Please keep him.

I do not like the new woman. The woman in the pilot could carry off the bad girl part a lot better. The new girl looks stupid when she tries to be tough.

I just needed to add to this, I hated Philly and I love Erica. Erica is a much more interesting character, much better acted and a more believable fit for the team. (Of course, Jimmi Simpson is my favorite and the reason I started watching the show).
