I was enormously disappointed in this episode. Ryan let me down with how he handled whomever it was that was talking about the “giggling”. Further, he condemns his team for “unprofessionalism”, yet his reproaching of his team was far more unprofessional:
Ryan needs to get over himself. His ego is too big to be in this field. Teaching the team a lesson by jeopardisi

Who is anyone to judge a person for how they react in a very personal and private experience they have had? I suppose if we all just send in a list of appropriate emotions and reactions to have, then everyone would be satisfied? How remarkable we as a people have been in this exact situation before and would have responded perfectly to appease everyone!
Of course, let's not address the incomprehensible courage this type of journey would take, just to put one foot in front of the other and walk forward toward your very real and personal fear. I believe this team has obviously a great love and trust for one another and quite frankly, we don't know what conversations took place after the fact, nor should we. Because this is considered a "reality show" we should be privy to any and all conversations even though this is truly none of our business? We saw the show, and saw what we were supposed to see, that is all. Sensationalism be damed.
The thing I appreciate most about this particular show is I don't know the backstage drama or personal issues of each person. I don't want to and certainly don't need to. I fully and completely appreciate the concept of the show as it is and the message it may send to individuals if they are so deemed to listen.
Apologize or don't apologize Ryan, that is for you to decide. The relationship you have with your team is yours.

I think people deal with situations
Perhaps it is the fact that Paranormal State has become enormously successful. Perhaps it is because Ryan Buell, at an exceedingly young age, has gained celebrity, and some bit of credibility, in the paranormal investigative field. I don't have to speculate when I say that his berating his team for being "unprofessional"...and, as he termed it, "...acting stupid...", is, for me, the height of bad manners, and ingratitude.
Whatever he thinks, Mr. Buell wouldn't be where he is today, were it not for his diehard colleagues, and support-staff. And, to publicly berate and chide his friends, simply because they kept the mood "light", and relaxed, makes me believe that Mr. Buell has come to take himself far to seriously, and has developed some very unattractive arrogance, on his way to Success!
I would have thought that coming into close-contact with The Other Side would have made Mr. Buell that much more appreciative of Life, in our dimension! And, that those who have labored just as diligently as he has are just as deserving of consideration and respect as he feels is his due!
If last night's "performance"...that pathetic exhibition of petulance and contempt for others' feelings, is a harbinger of things to come, on Paranormal State...then, maybe I will have to rethink whether Mr. Buell's presentations are worth my time! For, it appears, that, along with a lot of Americans' bad taste, and lack of delicacy...Mr. Buell may think himself ABOVE kindness, and effective interpersonal interactions,
Apologies are, indeed, very much in order, based upon his atrocious lack of manners, on "Darkness Falls"!
Come now, Mr. Buell: The essence of "greatness" doesn't emanate from a no-name young man, who suddenly popped-up with a television series! I'd say that you are in desperate need of a "reality check"! And, I am certain that you have heard that old adage, of "...being kind to those whom you meet 'on the way, up...for they are the same people whom you will meet, on the way, down'"!
